Registration for the 2018 Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run, scheduled for Sunday, February 18, is now open.

The annual event which has the theme “20 years of running for a purpose”, is being staged under the patronage of Usain Bolt, Olympian; Davina Bennett, Miss Jamaica Universe 2017 and 2nd runner-up, Miss Universe 2017; and Fitness Coach and CEO of Dynamic Lifestyle Patrice J White.

Sagicor, in a release, said it has set out to raise $50 million to contribute to two beneficiaries — Spanish Town Hospital Neonatal Unit and St Christopher’s School for the Deaf.

“Registrants who sign up before or on January 23 will once again enjoy special early bird rates,” a Sagicor release said. Registration closes February 2.

For an entry fee of $2,000 Sigma Run participants can take advantage of the company’s preferred start option allowing them to start the race ahead of other participants. The top 100 finishers from last year’s event will also start the race ahead of the others.

Participants can also purchase signature 20th anniversary Sigma Run dri-fit shirts at an additional cost of $1,350, Sagicor said.
